J & J callback Watch: Rolaids Softchews are withdrawn on reporting of particulate matter (WSJ)

We continue on string Johnson & Johnson recalls. Specifically, the company released about 40 kinds of drugs from store shelves children this spring. And, as the WSJ reported recently, more than callbacks are likely, as the company is reviewing its manufacturing operations.

Today, the company said is recalling all batches of Rolaids Extra Strength Softchews Rolaids Extra Strength Plus gas Softchews and Rolaids Multi-Symptom Plus anti-gas Softchews. A spokesman for the company, which includes 96 lots of product and 13 million parcels, over tells health Blog.

J & J stated that the callback "some consumer reports of foreign substances in the product, including metal and wood particles". These particles may have been introduced by a third party manufacturer, the company said. Consumers should stop using products – although J & J says that "the risk of serious adverse consequences is remote." To obtain a refund, contact the company online or call 1 888 222-6036.

A few weeks back J & J recalls a dozen Mylanta various liquid products and a product AlternaGEL because they have been labelled to omit the presence of a small amount of alcohol. (Needless to cease to use the products or return them to the stores consumers). And it has separately expanded recall of daily-use contact lenses to the Japan and elsewhere due to traces of an acid that can cause tingling. The United States contacts are not affected.In in November, the company recalled three products Tylenol Cold Multi Symptom, also learned from retailers and wholesalers of alcohol subject to labelling. Consumers can keep taking the meds, J & J says.Also in November, the company also recalled children's Benadryl and Motrin products. Yet again, J & J said that they were not dangerous and consumers did not have to stop taking them.In October, there was a reminder of the bottles of Tylenol caplets 8 hours due to a musty August DePuy orthopaedic unit J & J fired odor.In 127,000 two implants on the market due to an abnormally high replacement surgeries.Also August hip, there was a reminder - which has recently been expanded – approximately 100,000 boxes 1 - day Acuvue TruEye contact lenses.Some OTC drugs were fired in July, including varieties of Benadryl, Tylenol, and Motrin. It was a reminder of musty smell of products manufactured in a factory in Puerto Rico.In in June, the company has expanded recall of drugs in the Puerto Rican origin plant by five lots.The large consignment of medicines for children were shot at the end of 2009 spring.In there were reminders of Tylenol Arthritis Pain caplets in this issue of the musty smell.
