This is the period of the year where you may be thinking about goals for the coming year. Many people told me that they want a significant change in their lives. They are tired of doing things the same way and to achieve the same results, so they set big goals.
As you think about your new goals for 2011, I want take you into account if you've never set a goal, then she met and been disappointed or not as excited and filled with manifest that you thought you would? Or have you ever set a goal you may seem just to achieve, not any how hard you try?
When I start first work with a new client, the first thing I would like to know, that is what they want. What is their general goal? It could start a business, it might be to achieve a certain level of income or might be something that is more significant in their lives. What that either goal is they have established for themselves, the first thing I want to be very clear about what they want, and then I ask them why they want to.
People are often surprised when I ask them that because they have not really thought in detail about why they want - or they may have thought about it, but it might be a little vague. For example, one of the reasons people give for wanting to start their own business is because they believe that he will give their freedom. Yet it is often the case that people start their own business to operate more difficult and more long hours as before when they worked for someone else.
If you set targets for the year next I encourage you to really behind the goal. Make gasoline-why do you want to do that? What it will give you? How you will feel when you have it? Why is it important for you? How is this different from what you have in your life now?
As you begin to think about these things and really feel the purpose, instead of just thinking about it, something surprising can occur. Very often, I find once that people have to the essence of the objective, they find that the objective they have thought is not really what they want at all. Perhaps even begin to see that you already have stuff in your life that give you things very you want the goal you set, but you're simply step devote sufficient time for them.
For example, if you discover that your aim is to bring you more peace and balance, is there something in your life that brings you now? You may feel that when you're gardening or read a book or doing yoga or meditation, but you don't allow yourself time to accomplish the any of these things. Those are things that you could do now to this sense of peace and balance.
While you set your goals for the future, think very carefully about why you want and what they bring. Go to gasoline even the goal. When you have a pretty good reason to accomplish the objective – when you have a large enough, you can feel really - will be much easier to achieve your goal and you certainly do feel disappointed when you reach the it.
